  1. It's always special being asked to make bespoke jewellery, but when it's an engagement ring for one of your close friends it's all the more exciting!

    Diamond & sapphire engagement ring

Ed came to me with a head full of ideas about what he wanted to give Dani when the time came, so we had plenty to work with. He knew he wanted a white metal, three stone engagement ring, with a central brilliant cut diamond & green pear cut stones for the shoulders. We settled on these gorgeous pale green sapphires for the side stones because as well as being pretty, sapphires are known for their hardness & so they're perfect for an engagement ring. Ed also knew he wanted bezel settings for the stones but still wanted to let as much light into the diamond as possible for it to shine brightly, so the platinum bezel settings are slim & really open underneath which allows the light to bounce right back out through the dazzling 0.30ct diamond.

Lots of people have commented that the ring has a classic Art Deco style to it which wasn't intentional, we just wanted to keep the design & the lines clean & ended up creating a classic engagement ring which (thankfully!) Dani is delighted with.

Here's a few progress shots of the platinum ring being handmade from scratch... You can see other bespoke pieces over on the commissions page, & if you'd like your own custom designed jewellery handmade then get in touch!
